27 species of Durio around the world, but afterward 30 species of this genus were reported by Lim (1990). The mainly of distribution is in tropical Asia (Phengklai, 2005). The origin of all species of Durio was native to western Malaysia (van Steenis, 1950), and Borneo was the center of distribution (Kostermans, 1958). In Thailand, five species of Durio were found, namely D. graveolens Becc. (A), D. griffithii Bakh., D. lowianus Scort. ex King (C), D. mansonii (Gamble) Bakh. (D), and D. zibethinus L. (F) (Phengklai, 2005).
